Sunday Night Lights! Giants at Cowboys
This Sunday night, the National Football League rivalry match between the New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys will take place at the AT&T Stadium. It is a great way to start week 1 in such a meaningful game. Lets face it, most would favor the Cowboys over the Giants, but wait... Injuries on Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz, and Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant should not be much of a concern. Both teams have great depth in the WR position. What I believe could make the difference, is the running game.
In the 2014 season, the New York Giants rushed for 1,603 yards, behind Andre Williams' 721 yards, on 217 attempts http://espn.go.com/nfl/team/stats/_/name/nyg/new-york-giants. The Dallas Cowboys rushed for 2,354 behind DeMarco Murray's 1,845 yards, on 392 attempts http://espn.go.com/nfl/team/stats/_/name/dal/dallas-cowboys. Seems to be lopsided, favoring the Cowboys. Since the end of the season, Dallas has let DeMarco Murray go, who had since then signed with the Philadelphia Eagles. Cowboys then bring in Darren McFadden and recently sign Christine Michael from the Seattle Seahawks.
Do not expect a DeMarco Murray performance from the Cowboys, but expect an average running game. The New York Giants look to increase their rushing percentage, which can only get better from the 2014 season.
A great Sunday night, must watch game. This game can make a statement on who takes the NFC East. So save some wings for the night and enjoy a classic National Football League rivalry game.

Did Rulings Hurt the Patriots?
In lieu of the NFL season opener this Thursday between the New England Patriots and the Pittsburgh Steelers, it would be wrong not to revisit the ruling of Deflategate.
There has been too much talk about under inflated footballs. The ruling by Judge Richard Berman to vacate New England Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady's 4 game suspension might not actually help the Patriots in the short run. Jimmy Garoppolo was to take over at QB if Tom Brady was to miss the first 4 games. Garoppolo played the first 3 games this preseason with 61 completions on 80 attempts, 554 yards, 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions, while Brady had 10 completions on 22 attempts, 107 yards, 1 touchdown and 2 interceptions. So now here comes Brady to start game 1 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
What I saw from preseason is that Garoppolo looks like he is ready to start, while Tom Brady was not playing like Tom Brady. Garoppolo let the Patriots fans breathe again as he proved his talents as a starting QB. Despite the suspension being nullified for Brady, there is still a lot more court ahead of him as the NFL challenges the ruling by Judge Berman. The off the field issue has clearly been a distraction for the 4 time Superbowl champion Tom Brady. Should the Patriots take a closer look at their QB's? Is it time for change?
